The song speaks about yearning for God, wanting to go deeper in Him, to know Him more, wanting more of Him. There was once when I was talking to Alvin, and he asked me, "Is God part of your life?" I was just about to nod and agree, when he continued, "Or is God your life?"
And then it struck me. There's a huge difference between God being part of my life and God being my life. If God was my life, I'd involve Him in everything, I would live for Him, I would speak of what He has done for me, I'd put Him first, I'd honour Him in everything I do, I wouldn't do things to displease Him, I'd long for Him, I'd want to spend time with Him! QT wouldn't be a chore. It would be something I love doing! The question hit home, and "Cry in my heart" really echoes the cry of my heart. I need to know God. I need God. What do I have if I don't have Him? In the end, all the things of the world that we work so hard to accumulate will pass away, and then what will we have? Will we have Jesus?
O Lord, I don't want You just to be part of my life, I want You to be my life! Draw me nearer to You Lord, and teach me to walk in Your ways. Mould me so that I will be like You and not like what the world thinks I should be.

The thing that you spend the most time thinking about, the most time on, that's the treasure of your heart. Is your treasure grades, friends, relationships, TV, computer games, Facebook, Friendster, storybooks, movies, blogging, money, clothes, shoes, etc..
Or is it Jesus?

Then I think about the languages I can speak fluently, and there's... English, ..................... English, ...... have I mentioned English? My Chinese is like... chopped up, and my Hokkien is... in pieces, to put it nicely.
Ohmyword. I need to do something about my linguistic skills, pronto!
Oooooh and now everyone in the office is waiting for 545pm to come round so they can all rush to GV Vivo and collect their tickets. I don't understand how anyone can concentrate on working, cos I sure can't! Haha! It's ok, it'll be my turn next week!!!! Super cannot wait. :D :D :D

I never thought that I had to actually apply the financial credit scoring sheet I'd found to the counterparties! I thought I just had to devise it... Plus I haven't even consulted YK on the existing process! The scoring sheet is a mere draft! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! >.<
Ok I realize that not many of you understand what I'm rambling on about, it's ok, one day I'll explain it to y'all. o.O
It's not like I can't do it, it's just that the process of finding all the facts and figures and recalculating them is soooo tedious. And I already have an earlier pile of contracts on my desk to clear. Whooo.. But I guess this takes priority.
Alrighty. Just wanted to air my feelings abit so I came to secretly blog (don't snitch ah!). Gonna get back to work now. Financial reports, noooooooo. Ok. Ok. I can do this. The Big Bosses are gonna see the first draft of my work once I send this out. Ok. I can do this.

Hmmmm, where is that pen?! *intense concentration* Sally sally long jiang pass?? No no, it's the battle of the Sheepvin and Pigdor! How priviledged I am to have been able to witness this in real life! (Waitamin, aren't they supposed to be good friends? :X Chris, I think you need to revise your storyline!) HAHAHA... "RAWWWR" Pigdor shows her might!!!!! Sheepvin looks unfazed though. Tsk! And now she turns on the hapless Farmer Mandy! Whaaaaaaat?! Today! Haha. With the cushions Dot sewed!!!! :) :) :) Much loves, Dot! Thank youuuu so so so much. Super touched by everything that you've done, getting the flowers, wrapping them, re-wrapping them after they 'died' in the fridge (:X), getting the *ahems* cake, and now the cushions! Super unexpected and nice. :P GIMME THE PRICE TAG NOW! Haha. Thank you. :) Hurhur. A shot taken by Dee to make the camera find the blemish on my face but it didn't work! (Though I think zooming will do the trick, :X) HAHAHAHAHHAA.. :P At the brownie place (Melvados) I wanted to visit long ago and Dee mentioned when we were on our way to Raffles Town Club! (Was trying to take some artistic photo la, trying.) Brownies!! (One of my most favourite desserts) Jon's brownie: Black & White Kisses! He said it was really good. My brownie! I forgot the name. Something something Madness. Haha! With walnuts. :) Dee's brownie. On a hotplate la! It's $7.90 which was $2.10 more than ours so.. I think she paid extra for the hotplate cos it looked exactly like Jon's. So well, the brownies were relatively good but I still think Munchie Monkeys' brownie is better! Plus, they don't cost as much. :) brownieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! And by the time we were done with all that food, we were SUPER STUFFED. I felt like I was going to burst, seriously. >.< It's been a happy day so far, or rather a happy weekend, and later I'm gonna meet the Scavazengers for Kane's birthday celebration! Hope it'll go well and hmm. Hopefully I won't see too much of drinking. Ah wells. Still, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL MOTHERS!!! :) :) :) Yesterday was funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!! :DOk never mind, I'll just reach for my pencil case...

Ministry VS Job
Some people have a job in the church; others involve themselves in a ministry in the world.
What's the difference?
If you are doing it just because no one else will, it's a job.
If you are doing it to serve the Lord, it's a ministry.
If you quit because somebody criticized you, it was a job.
If you keep on serving, it's a ministry.
If you'll do it only as long as it does not interfere with your other activities, it's a job.
If you are committed to staying with it even when it means letting go of other things, it's a ministry.
If you quit because no one praised you or thanked you, it was a job.
If you stay with it even though nobody recognizes your efforts, it is a ministry.
It's hard to get excited about a job.
It's almost impossible not to get excited about a ministry.
If our concern is success, it's a job.
If our concern is faithfulness, it's a ministry.
An average church is filled with people doing jobs.
A great and growing church is filled with people involved in ministry.
Where do we fit in? What about us?
If God calls you to a ministry, don't treat it like a job. If you have a job, give it up and find a ministry. God does not want us feeling stuck with a job, but excited and faithful to Him in a ministry. So stop looking for a ministry to serve. Where the Lord has you now is your ministry.

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.
All too often we're like a squirrel struggling to squeeze into the hole of a birdhouse - we squirm and struggle and try all means to get what we want, whether it's God's will for us or not. Then sometimes, God will let us have what we want (be involved in questionable activity, going to places that don't please God, pleading with Him for more and more things). Then when we get it, we find that it doesn't make us happy after all.
Rather, we should be content with what God has blessed us with! Many times I find myself complaining about superficial things, wishing I had more of this, more of that... better grades, appearances, whatnot. Instead of doing that, I should be thanking God for what He has already given me! Why? Simply because His plans are the best, and He knows what He's doing. He's given me enough, more than I could ask for, and I should be CONTENT. I want to praise God and be content regardless of whatever circumstance I'm in! So here's a song to share with y'all. :)
